So you can try the Gcam 6.3 Mod on several other Android phones out there with similar hardware as Pixel devices once it is available from any of the developers. The latest Gcam is targeted towards Android 10 or Android Q (which is still in beta), but also works well on the Android 9 Pie. Pixel 3’s NightSight camera mode features is the most remarkable feature introduced by Google. It may not be the latest Gcam 6.3 mod, but it sure is something. As we know, cstark brings some amazing Gcam mods that work well with all the Pixel Series phones like Google Pixel 3 (XL), 3a (XL), Pixel 2, and Pixel 1 and all of their XL variants. This means, once you set NightSight as default launch mode, it will be the first mode you will see wherever you launch the Google camera app. Moreover, here we have also listed the latest Google Camera mod by cstark that enables you to even set the Night Sight mode as the default launch mode. So download the latest Google camera 6.3 for NightSight in main camera UI. In Gcam 6.3, however, the NightSight mode replaced the Panaroma mode. In earlier versions until Gcam 6.2, we had to click on more then access the Night Sight mode while taking pictures at night or low lighting conditions. The Google Camera 6.3 APK features Night Sight option right in the front or the main Camera UI. This device brings some tweaks to the main camera UI. Google updated its default camera app for Pixel phones to latest version 6.3.

Gcam Mod APK lets you set Night Sight as default launch mode Text = (str(self.cb.itemText(self.cb.currentIndex()) )) #Load the selected file #Automatic file list generation code by jithinbp gmailįiles = 'jpg'] #make a list of image files So I wrote a small change to photoSphere.py which loads all jpg filenames in the baseĭirectory into a QComboBox for easy selection :) Having to enter the path of the file/ drag a file into the input field is a little painful. Now also with a file selector and on GitHub It does not work with big panoramas on older graphics chips (like, f.ex. Meaning that your favorite file inĬ:\Users\You\Pictures\PANO_ABC.jpgbecomes file://C:\Users\You\Pictures\PANO_ABC.jpgģ) the positive consequence of this fact is that you can pass a regular url to the program, and it will open and display it for you. You have to enter it by hand (or copy paste it from somewhere else)Ģ) the address has to be in URI (URL, if you will) form. Otherwise, just enjoy your photo spheres, now on your PCġ) there's no file selector.

If anybody has a suggestion of where to host the portable package, please contact me! I am also urgently looking for a host for these ~70MB. If you improve it, please let me know :) (there's plenty of improvements possible)
#Google photosphere apk install#
It's trivial, it's in Python, it's GPL, and it's even portable (on windows).įor linux users, it's portable too, as your favorite package manager can surely install all the needed dependencies for you.

Well, anyway, all this mumbo jumbo to say that this is the reason why i made a QAD (= QuickAndDirty) PhotoSphereViewer. I believe professionals also do not wish to share these panoramas through Google+. This i think can be true for me (ofc.) but for other people as well, as i believe that the use of these photo spheres could be also professional (imagine interior designers, architects, etc.). I don't want to use Google+ to share my photo spheres! I want to send one via email to whoever i want. There there's a widget that allows to admire these 360 panoramas directly from your favorite browser ( though i haven't tried. If you want to share one with someone else (= also yourself, but on another machine), you can do it through Google+. It's normally only possible to view these spheres from the android device, whatever it is.

However, there's only one missing thing about photo spheres, that managed to annoy me pretty soon. The results are actually pretty cool, and, at least for my own sake, this tool is quite useful for taking spheres of interiors. PhotoSpheres are essentially 360 degrees panoramas, constructed out of several shots, that the user can take following the camera app indications. Google has recently pimped up the stock camera app of Android, with the result that it's now very very easy to create so-called PhotoSpheres.
